Clinical Programs

HOSPITAL SERVICE LINES The Division of General Internal Medicine staffs three inpatient service lines at UAMS. The hospitalists process nearly 10,000 patient admissions and discharges combined per year. The service lines are foremost an academic teaching service rather than a pure hospitalist team. They use a formal hospitalist teaching curriculum (in the making) for the residents and students, with opportunity for clinical research activities. The primary purpose of these service lines is to provide efficient inpatient care of hospitalized patients and to educate residents (interns).

There are patient assistance programs available to patients in the clinic, such as the Medication Assistance Program and the Hospital Discount Program.
