Eduardo Mireles-Cabodevila, MD

Eduardo Mireles-Cabodevila, MD Dr. Mireles is a board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology and critical care. He has trained in Mexico, Baltimore, and finally in Cleveland, OH at the Cleveland Clinic. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine and serves as the Director of the CRS clinic and the Medical Intensive Care Unit. He is especially interested in the effects of neuromuscular diseases in the respiratory system, multidisciplinary care, and nutritional status.  He shares with Dr. Reddy a passion to help patients that require chronic respiratory support.

Raghu M. Reddy, MD

Dr. Reddy is a board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care physician. He has trained in India, England, New York, and finally at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where he finished his training in Pulmonary and Critical Care. He is currently an Assistant Professor of medicine at UAMS, the director of the sleep program, and works in the Cystic Fibrosis clinic. He is well trained in taking care of patients with respiratory failure, long-term ventilator care, sleep disorders, use of invasive and non invasive ventilators, CPAP, and BIPAP.

Doris Bishop, RN

Doris has been a nurse for almost 29 years. She has served as staff nurse, case manager, clinic nurse, discharge planner and with pediatric and medical/surgical patients. She became part of UAMS 8 hears ago where she has the position of charge nurse in the Pulmonary and CRS clinic. She has extensive experience in the transition of pulmonary patients from the pediatric to the adult environment.

Donna Jackson, RN

Donna has been a nurse at UAMS for 40 yrs where she got her nursing training. She has a world of experience as she has worked in many areas, such as pediatrics, medical surgery unit, OB-GYN and the orthopedic Clinic. For the last 18 years, Donna has been a nurse at the Pulmonary Clinic where she has dealt with patients with all types of pulmonary disorders.

Melanie Newton, MA

 Melanie has been a Medical Assistant for six years and became a Registered Medical Assistant four years ago.  She attended Eastern College of Vocations for her certification and is completing her Bachelors in Business Management.  She has experience in several clinical settings such as Pediatrics, Internal medicine, and Family practice.  In addition to having two years prior experience in a Pulmonary clinic.

Robert Bopp, RRT

Bob is a Registered Respiratory Therapist since 1985.  He has worked at UAMS for 21 years in which six years he has been the Adult intensive care unit coordinator for Respiratory Care.  He has been working in the Chronic Respiratory Support Clinic since 2008.

Susie Daniel Kagebein, BS, RRT, RPFT

Susie is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist. She graduated from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989. She works as an Interventional Respiratory Therapist and an ALS Clinical Specialist for UAMS.  She has worked in the Neurology Multidisciplinary Clinic with patients since 2002.

Anita Bercher, MS, RD, LS, CNSC

Anita is the Clinical nutritionist for the CRS clinic. She is a certified nutritionist and registered dietitian  with 15 years of experience. Besides her clinical duties in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UAMS, she has mentored numerous nutritionists over the years, earning repeatedly the Distinguished Mentor in Dietetics Award.  Anita has extensive experience in  adjusting the nutritional requirements in patients with chronic respiratory problems.

Diane Campbell, SW

Diane attended the  University of Colorado in Boulder for undergraduate work. She majored in Psychology – BA 1983. Attended UALR for her Masters in social work.  She graduated in 1986 and since then has worked in the medical field. She has been part of the  Health Department – HIV/AIDS surveillance division, the  Little Rock Community Mental Health, the Little Rock Dialysis. In 2001 she began her work again at UAMS  where she has extensive experience in inpatient, critical care and outpatient settings.

Amy Chandler, MS, CCC-SLP

Amy Chandler is the manager of Speech Language Pathology at UAMS.  She earned her degrees in 1992 and 1994 from Western Illinois University and did her internship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Her specialty areas include swallowing disorders, communication with tracheostomy in ventilator dependent patients, rehabilitation from laryngectomy and speech and communication disorders.
