Education
Our fellows receive excellent training in all aspects of clinical Infectious Diseases including HIV, solid organ and stem cell transplantation, orthopedic infections, and general Infectious Diseases.   Our primary teaching sites include UAMS and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, but additional educational sites include the Arkansas Department of Health and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  Weekly outpatient clinic for fellows is held at UAMS.  In addition, fellows gain experience in hospital administrative duties through involvement with Infection Prevention and Control Committees as well as Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs.

Research
Fellows are provided the opportunity for research and quality improvement in areas of interest with appropriate time and mentoring for projects.
