Hometown: Little Rock, AR

Undegrad/Medical School: Univ. of AR, Fayetteville; UAMS

I chose UAMS Internal Medicine Residency because: The Internal Medicine training is exceptional here. This program has an extensive track record of preparing residents for their boards and success in the fellowship match. Also, I love Little Rock, and I take great pride in giving back to this community and the state.

My future plan after residency: Gastroenterology fellowship

Something you would never guess about me / fun fact about me: I was born with gray hair! Yes, this baldy once had a head of “salt and pepper,” as it was often called.

My favorite part about living/looking forward to exploring in Little Rock: Well I have a new-found appreciation for nature. I enjoy the hiking trails, the beautiful parks, and just being outside in general. There is a lot of nature to explore in Little Rock and around the state.

My favorite place to eat/looking forward to trying in Little Rock: I love Kemuri, a Japanese restaurant which has the best sushi I have ever tasted. Layla’s has the best Mediterranean food in town, and Ceci’s Fried Chicken and Waffles is amazing as well. As you can see, I love to eat!

In my free time, I like to: Try new cooking recipes, go for a jog, read a good book, play basketball, spend time with my family, and probably one my favorites…sleeping!
